In this age and time when grandeur seems to be every Hindu wedding standard, very few persons wonder what it is like to have a simple wedding. Many wish to believe they can have a Hindu wedding without the complications and so much noise. Is this achievable? Of course, it is. Not everyone likes to be the center of attraction of such much going on at once. Just follow me as I share my thoughts on what I consider to be a simple Hindu wedding.
I’ll use my elder sister’s wedding as a case scenario. She had a fixed budget for her wedding celebration, just like most of you already did. Eventually, as time progressed, she began to expand the budget cost, on things she had omitted earlier. When we took an estimate at a point, we noticed a lot had been put into the dhamakas, the shot share a and every other particle needed for an elegant Hindu wedding.”
So, here I will list the things my sister wished she did differently, as we move on.
Choose An Open Space For The Hindu Wedding
What my sister did for her wedding was proper planning well in advance. At the very beginning, what she did was booking a hall space that took away half of her initial budget. The hall is quite renowned and well known by everyone. So people didn’t have issues locating the venue, or parking spaces. It was the perfect venue for an elegant Hindu wedding.
However, she later realized that with 25% of the price of the hall, she could rent an open space of similar qualities for her wedding. As painful and regretting as this sounds now, nothing can be done about it. The best you can do is only choose to make the right venue choice. Getting an open space is a lot cheaper and gives you the simple feel you want.
Cut Down On The Musicians
Every Hindu wedding is globally known for one thing; the music and merriment during the ceremony. Now that you have chosen to have a simple wedding, you need to decide which works for you; reduce the number of musicians, or use other music methods. A live band of musicians attract more crowd and makes you spend more.
If you still insist on live music, the get someone to play a major instrument and plan to sing the songs alone, or with one or two persons.
Rent Your Outfits
From what I’ve observed from every Hindu wedding I attend, the bride and groom change their outfits a couple of times. This is a tradition that is expected from every couple during the ceremony. No one is asking you to get one outfit. However, you can rent a couple of them for the price of buying just one. If we are being honest, outfits made for elegant occasions are always useless afterward. So, I’d advise you to go for rented outfits and still have a glamorous marriage ceremony.
